Write about a moment when you felt you had the power to make a difference in someone else's life.

One of the activities that I can remember is when I volunteered at a local community center. There was this kid named Dani who was struggling with math. His peers would taunt him, and this  isolated  and this isolated him and demoralized him. I would see him every week and I would help him with math every week, and help him with his homework. With time, I noticed a significant change in his math ability and confidence levelHe had visited me one evening and thanked me for believing in him. That is when it struck me that my efforts had not only succeeded for him academically but also emotionally. It was a powerful reminder of the amount of difference a little patience and encouragement can make in one's life. There was no school today.
